As 2022 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on our achievements. Over the past 12 months everyone at Kempton Carr Croft has been working extremely hard, securing sales and lettings, setting up shop in High Wycombe and expanding the team!

Return to normality

With offices, staff and clients across the South-East we’ve always embraced hybrid and home working. When the Covid pandemic hit in 2020 we were quick to adapt and adhere to the Government’s work from home mandate.

With things returning to normality, it has been great to welcome staff back to our offices, to hear the buzz of work (and non-work) conversations and to connect with our clients in person once again.

Growing team

In November, Marlow and Windsor-based commercial property consultants, Deriaz Campsie, merged with Kempton Carr Croft. Their senior partner, Paul Deriaz, joined us as a consultant bringing his knowledge and experience to our already successful agency team.

By joining forces, we will now be providing our services to Deriaz Campsie’s loyal and long-established client base. The move also enables us to expand our business and industry expertise.

Business wins

We have had a busy year across all departments servicing our diverse range of clients.

In particular we are delighted to have added significant property portfolios to our property management department, including prime central London assets.

Our general practice team are pleased to announce our appointment to undertake portfolio valuations for a public sector client, further expanding the work we undertake for local authorities in the South-East.

We won the commercial agency appointment at Waterside Quarter, Maidenhead where we are working with long standing clients, Sorbon Estate, to market several units within this town centre landmark development, having already agreed terms and having negotiations ongoing on all units.

Mitchell Brooks, head of our agency team, has also secured some exciting development opportunities he is looking to market in 2023. Furthermore, he has been appointed to acquire circa 120,000sq.ft. for a blue-chip client looking to secure more industrial space nationwide.

Agency deals

We’re delighted to have secured a range of agency deals across 2022. Our success stories include a unique Thames side development opportunity, the Boatyard, Maidenhead. This site was sold to an owner occupier. In addition, we completed on various lettings at the new town centre Watermark development of 227 executive apartments, with circa 27,000sq.ft. of commercial space below.

Over in Windsor we sold Parkside House which offers an impressive 10,000 sq ft of commercial office space, for continued commercial use. On Dedworth Road, we also sold a Terrace of retail units as a multi-let investment and acquired a Grade A circa 44,000sq.ft. headquarters office building on Victoria Street on behalf of a blue-chip client.

In High Wycombe we completed various off market transactions. To list a few, we acquired an off-market retail investment within the town centre, sold an off-market retail unit on Oxford Road to an owner occupier for continued commercial use and we let a town centre industrial unit on Westbourne Street off market to a growing independent trade counter operator.

Appointments and promotions

We’re thrilled to have welcomed several new members to our team this year. In April, Nikki Bulteel joined us as a Property Manager, followed by Luke Bennett who started as a Commercial Agent in May. More Recently we have welcomed our latest Graduate Trainee Surveyor, Guy Slater.

We are happy that all of them have joined, each of them proving to be excellent hires!

We are also delighted that this year Steven McCormack and Tom Shrives have both been promoted to become Senior Valuers and Megan Young to become a Senior Administrator, all promotions being very well-deserved.

2023 plans

We look forward to embracing the opportunities of 2023, working hard for new and existing clients and developing our talented staff.

Christmas donation

Instead of doing Secret Santa this year, our staff contributed items to the Foodshare food bank in Maidenhead. We had a fantastic response from the team and delivered a generous donation.
