Join our team as a Senior Administrator

  • Hours: Full-time – 9.00 am to 5.30pm Mon – Friday (37.5 hours per week)
  • Salary: £25k – £30k pa depending on expertise and experience
  • Office-based in Maidenhead
  • Permanent role
  • Reports to: Simon Mills, Head of Loan Valuations
  • Manages: No-one
  • Start date: ASAP (current incumbent is leaving on 19 April 2024)

 

The Company

 

Kempton Carr Croft is an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Maidenhead offering professional advice and services relating to commercial and residential property across London and the Thames Valley. The firm conducts a wide range of professional work including building surveying, valuations, rent reviews and lease renewals, commercial property management and commercial sales & lettings. Within the firm there are 25 fee earning surveyors and a total of 35 staff.

 

The Team

 

The Loan Valuations Team is 8 strong, including 2 other administrators. The team produces property valuation reports for lenders considering property as security for their loans (mortgages).

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Booking in property inspections for valuers using Outlook Calendars (the administrator will have responsibility for 2-3 valuers)
  • Handling quotes ie ensuring that quote requests are correctly directed
  • Assembling valuation reports and submitting to the client (the lender) – this involves combining text, photos and plans.
  • Preparing and sending out terms and conditions
  • Preparing and sending out invoices
  • Recording data connected with the valuations on our CRM system: lender, loan applicant, property address valuation details
  • Filing all electronic documents correctly on Sharepoint
  • Assisting in overall office administration which involves: answering phone calls which may be from potential clients as well as existing clients and suppliers (or indeed, anyone, really), opening post, franking post and taking it to the post box

 

The successful candidate will possess a flexible, proactive, can-do attitude whilst being able to maintain excellent attention to detail and remain calm in periods with tight deadlines and a high volume of work.

 

Skills

 

Essential 

  • Good phone answering skills
  • Proficiency in Word
  • Generally computer literate and familiar with data entry
  • Good team player

 

Desirable

  • Touch typing proficiency
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics
  • Basic Excel skills
  • Experience of working in a firm of Chartered Surveyors

  • Holiday: 33 days pa including bank holidays (5 days to be taken at Xmas when the office it shut)
  • Auto enrolment pension: employer contributions of 3% of qualifying earnings if employee contributes 5% qualifying earnings. Qualifying earnings are earnings over £6,240 pa (up to a maximum of £50,270 pa) 2023-24.
  • Death in service benefit: 4 x salary to beneficiary if die in service
