Walking 200 miles for The Autism Group
Chartered Surveyor and business owner Malcolm Kempton is walking over 200 miles of the Cornish coast line to raise much needed funds for newly formed Maidenhead based charity, The Autism Group.
He will cover the distance over three weeks between 27th June – 16th July 2016 and friends and family will join him along the way to offer support and encouragement.
A virgin money giving page has been set up for the challenge and if you’re able to contribute, all donations to support the walk and the charity via this page are gratefully received: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Kemptoncarrcroft
The Autism Group
The Maidenhead based charity provides easy access to autism training for parents, carers and professionals together with support and social opportunities for young people on the autistic spectrum, along with their families and friends. All funds raised through the sponsored walk will go directly to the running and development of the group.
“Thank you Malcolm! Raising funds for us means we will be able to help more young people with autism living in our area. The Autism Group team will be following your progress and wish you good luck”.

Malcolm spent the summer months working in Cornwall as a student. After his college days, the Countryside commission began building long distance footpaths around the UK to open up the countryside to the public. During this process, the Cornish coastal path was formed and it became an ambition of Malcolm’s to walk this beautiful stretch of the country that had provided such fond memories as a teenager
40 years on, aged 62, his ambition to walk this scenic route is being realised in memory of a close friend Simon Dunn who passed away late last year. Simon shared a love for this area of the county and if all goes well with the walk this year, Malcolm plans to take on the challenge of walking the Southern Cornish Coastal path next year.
Follow the walk
You can follow Malcolm’s progress on the walk as he publishes a daily blog covering the route, scenery and activities along the way.
Good Luck Malcolm – everyone at KCC is wishing you well – enjoy the challenge!
