Our Pick of Bucks & Berks property with the best public gardens

This week The Royal Horticultural Society celebrates National Gardening Week. Starting on 10th April 2017, the week is set to encourage us to discover our green fingers, get new ideas and learn tips from the experts to improve our outdoor space, be it a large rambling garden, mid terrace patch or miniscule balcony!

Since we love all things property, we couldn’t help but be inspired by the gardens surrounding our favourite properties in and around Buckinghamshire and Berkshire…what better way to get your own garden looking summer ready than by taking a day to explore and get inspiration from these top Thames Valley locations.

Hughenden Manor Garden

Hughenden Manor near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire has extensive gardens surrounding the red brick Victorian Mansion which was built in the 19th Century.

We particularly like the contrast between the red brick and the vast green lawns and trees at this property!

Englefield House Garden
This beautiful property is located just outside Reading in Berkshire, the Elizabethan building is surrounded by a 9 acre garden. The garden is designed to contain Turrets and peaks mimicking the building with well-presented topiary at the entrance.

Highclere Castle and Gardens

Highclere Castle is famously known as the set for the filming of Downton Abbey. This grand location near Newbury in Berkshire, if you plan your visit you can ensure to take a tour of the beautiful house and a walk through its magnificent gardens.

Valley Gardens, Windsor Great Park

You could lose a whole day walking through the 220 acres of garden in Windsor Great Park. What a great way to spend a spring day and enjoy the weather, the natural amphitheatre known as ‘The Punchbowl’ in the centre is a must see!
